Highlights : NTFB Indian American Community Volunteering at North Texas Food Bank

On a chilly day in North Texas, the warm hearts of the Indo-American & Asian community was in full display!
Over 65 people volunteered to sort non perishable food for the needy & elderly, and packed weekend meals for children’s backpack program. In all, over 25,000 Meals were made possible by this generous group.


·1 in 4 children in North Texas is food insecure
·853,000 people in North Texas live in food insecure households

·North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) provides 3 nutritious meals for 1 Dollar!
·70 Million meals are provided by the NTFB yearly

They are still short of several million meals, with the need projected to grow to 92 Million meals a year by 2025
Join a growing group of Indo-Americans who have stepped up to make a local impact in the spirit of "Give where you Live!" Our motto is "Hunger Mitao" and the immediate goal is for the Indo-American community to fund One Million Meals for our hungry neighbors.
